Size & Spec Guides
How to measure, how our glove and apparel sizes run, and what to specify when you order — so the goods that arrive fit the people who wear them.
How to Measure a Hand
Glove sizing worldwide is based on two simple measurements of the dominant hand:
- Hand circumference — wrap a tailor's tape around the widest part of the palm (across the knuckles, excluding the thumb). Keep the tape snug but not tight.
- Hand length — measure from the tip of the middle finger to the base of the palm at the wrist crease.
The larger of the two measurements determines the glove size. If a hand falls between sizes, size up for work and duty gloves (comfort over long shifts) and down for sports and tactical gloves where dexterity matters most.
Glove Size Chart
Based on the EN 420 European sizing convention used across our gloves, duty gloves and motorbike gloves. Measurements refer to the hand, not the glove.
| EU Glove Size | Intl. Size | Hand Circumference | Hand Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | XS | 152 mm / 6.0 in | 160 mm / 6.3 in |
| 7 | S | 178 mm / 7.0 in | 171 mm / 6.7 in |
| 8 | M | 203 mm / 8.0 in | 182 mm / 7.2 in |
| 9 | L | 229 mm / 9.0 in | 192 mm / 7.6 in |
| 10 | XL | 254 mm / 10.0 in | 204 mm / 8.0 in |
| 11 | XXL | 279 mm / 11.0 in | 215 mm / 8.5 in |
Fit also depends on cut and materials — a hard-knuckle tactical glove wears differently from an unlined mechanic glove of the same size. Sizing samples are available with any order.

Motorbike garments are typically specified with a closer fit at chest and shoulder to keep armour in position — tell us the intended use and we'll advise on grading.
What to Specify When You Order
The five details that make a size specification production-ready:
Size range & ratio
Which sizes you need and in what proportions — e.g. S/M/L/XL/XXL at 1 : 2 : 3 : 2 : 1. We pack size-ratio cartons on request.
Regional convention
EU, UK or US sizing on labels and packaging — or your own brand's convention with a conversion agreed up front.
Fit intent
Slim, regular or relaxed; lined or unlined for gloves; room for armour or layers where relevant.
Label & marking
How sizes appear on woven labels, prints, hang tags and carton markings.
Reference sample
For private-label production, an approved sizing sample per size locks the spec before bulk begins.
